Carri Angel Photography

Carri Angel is the founder of the renowned alternative clothing label ‘The Dark Angel Design Co’. As well as designing and producing the company’s extensive range of theatrical costuming she also exclusively photographs and markets the brand. The unique design of the clothing is visually rich and lends itself perfectly to her highly creative style of photography.

In 2004 Carri left the UK to promote her work overseas. She has since established offices in Thailand, Singapore, New Zealand and California. She returned to the UK in 2013 and inspired by the spectacular landscape of the South West, settled in Devon.

For the past 18 years photography has been the main aspect of Carri’s creative practice and her lavish, fantasy imagery is regularly featured in publications worldwide.

In 2017 she completed an MA in photography at Plymouth College of Art. Her research work explores the detrimental effects of disposable fashion on society and the environment. She is a longstanding advocate of ethical fashion and is committed to promoting sustainability and diversity in the industry.

She is currently working full time at Plymouth College of Art as a lecturer on the BA (Hons) Degree in Commercial Photography for Fashion, Advertising & Editorial.
