The Wheel of the Year is an annual cycle of eight seasonal festivals. In nature all things are considered to be a perpetual cycle of growth and retreat tied to the annual death and rebirth of the sun. Observing the cycle of the seasons and honoring the ‘Earth Mother’ has been important to many people in both ancient and modern civilizations.
Inspired by the eight Pagan sabbats, this epic, fifteen month long project was brought to life by the 'Lunaesque Productions' team. The images here are just a few of my personal favorites from my own work. You can see the full collection on the 'Lunaesque' website.
