I have worked for various UK companies designing textiles, clothing, wall-coverings etc. I have also worked as voluntary team leader for a community arts theatre in London, where I designed the costumes and sets for several large productions.
Twenty years ago I established the renowned alternative clothing design company 'The Dark Angel Design Co'
It was through 'The Dark Angel' that I returned to photography. The clothing that we produce requires quite specialist imagery to convey the vision of the design to the customer. It proved extremely difficult to find a competent fashion photographer who could understand the essence of 'Dark Angel Designs', so back in 1996 I picked up Photoshop and began to retrain for the digital age.
I went on to travel extensively with 'Dark Angel' and spent ten years living and working living overseas. Being away from the studio my photography work drifted from shooting clothing and I developed a passion for candid portraiture and capturing the exotic surroundings and landscapes that I often found myself in.
Alongside my creative photography I am an exclusive contributor with Getty images and a registered photographer with the 'Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep Foundation'. I am also one of the photographers with the award winning creative team 'Lunaesque'
In 2015 I was awarded the prestigious Licentiate distinction from The Royal Photographic Society.
My studio is based in the ancient market town Tavistock, in West Devon, much of my current work is shot around the beautiful, local environs of Dartmoor.
